Lead Advocate
We comprise of an energetic team of associates working under the direction and guidance of the Head Partner, Mr. Syphurine Nyongesa Mayende. The entire team is supported by legal assistants as well as clerical, accounting and administrative staffs.
Syphurine Mayende
Lead Advocate
Syphurine Mayende holds a LL.B from Moi University and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He is a hardworking, organized and a self-driven individual. He was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya on the 21st day of January 2014, after completing his Postgraduate Advocates Training Programme at the Kenya School of Law. He attended his Pupillage at TripleOKLaw Advocates in 2013 for one year and the in year 2014 was thereafter retained in the same firm as an associate in the firm’s Commercial and Conveyancing Department. He would thereafter work with the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department handling major cases running from commercial litigation, constitutional and human rights, employment law, family and succession law. On 1st September, 2017, Mayende opened up Syphurine and Partners Advocates in which to this date pursues general practice from Real Estate Law, Defamation Law to Civil and Commercial Litigation. He is the Managing Partner at Syphurine & Partners Advocates.
Pupilage Programme
We offer facilities for pupils to undertake in depth legal training with the firm in preparation for the challenges of practising law in Kenya. The pupils do get an opportunity to work closely with different clusters of advocates in different practice areas and in the process obtain intensive firsthand experience in the practice of law. While the pupils’ primary pursuit is preparation for admission to the Bar, they do contribute immensely to the Firm and add value, variety and introduce new thinking even as they carry out their studies.
Support Staff
We have a fully dedicated support team comprising of an office administrator, accounting staff, secretaries and court clerks and process servers.

Distribution of client briefs within the Firm
Each advocate has a docket for which they are fully responsible. Each of the associate advocate, legal assistants and/or Pupils report to the Head Partner in his or her department. The Partner oversees the work done in the entire firm.
